[Resolved] Sony Hi Fi Music System — pathetic service | |||
Hi, I the undersigned bought a Sony HI FI Music System from Reliance Digital outlet in Annanagar 3rd Avenue yesterday evening. Before even closing the deal I had made it very clear if they would install the system on the same day but the salesman committed to check the system in the showroom itself and later a person would visit my house for demonstration i.e. today 12th Aug’12, based on this I made the payment. Immediately after making payment, the salesman said the checking can happen once in for all tomorrow at my residence instead of doing twice and in case there is any problem they would replace with a new one. Before buying I had categorically told them that, the technician should visit before 11.00am as I need to go out with my family for which they had agreed and had informed the technician immediately about the same. In the morning I neither got a call from your technician nor he had visited. I had called your showroom and enquired about this and the reply I got is the same has been put on priority and the technician would come any moment. At 12.45pm someone from your service office calls me and tell me that they got the mail only now from the sales and the technician would come in approximately 1 hour’s time. At about 1.15PM I get a call from your technician Dinesh stating he is in Tiruvallur and he would be visiting only the next day. Again I call your Showroom and speak to Mr.Sridharan – Showroom Incharge and he commits to send another technician by 3.00pm. Even after 6pm I didn’t get any call on this nor someone called me to tell the person wouldn’t turn up today. When I again called Sridharan, he gives me the contact number of Mr.Mani and he after listening to my experience tell me that I should have called earlier so that he could have resolved this for me and then it takes me on concall with Dinesh – Technician again to tell me that, he will visit tomorrow. Now, you tell me did I made a mistake by buying at Reliance digital outlet? While Sony world(there was no stock of Sony HI FI Music system), Croma etc were very nearby for me to make a choice and your sales and service staffs kept on misguiding me spoiling my entire Sunday which is the only day I get off and normally spend time with my family, I wasted waiting for your technician to come and again and again got a false assurance stating he would reach any moment. In case your guys had problem such as the above they shouldn’t have committed to send the technician the next day and despite of knowing well that the technician is on leave they shouldn’t have given false promise spoiling the entire day. Any person buying a home entertainment is to immediately install and enjoy the experience with his family and that too I made sure that the same is installed by next day so that I could spend some time hearing to good music, as we are work 9am to 9pm and Sunday is the only day we get. Let me tell I had purchased many such house hold items elsewhere, I never faced such pathetic service. Sony India should have a check on the aftersales service of your dealer/distributors, if they are adequate and whether they can cater to the customers properly or not, else your brand name would also get spoilt.
