Sony — poor quality of hardware used

i purchased sony vaio in july 2010 and the hard disk completely stopped working, as a result i lost precious data where there is no help from sony service station for its recovery. really really poor hardware used and no services for the same. earlier i used acer it worked for 7 years without any problem...sonys poor product gave in 18 months time. I suggest all not to buy the same product.
