[Resolved] Sony — SONY VAIO Laptop has very poor quality battery
I purchased a Sony Vaio - Model VPCCA - a year ago. Within months of purchase itself, my battery started draining when the Vaio was in complete shut down mode. So if, I would shut it down at say 70% battery power, it would be only say 40 to 50% when I would start it the next day. I took the Vaio to the Sony Service Centre in Mumbai four times during the warranty period. On the third visit, they even replaced the battery fre of cost. But it was pointless. This second battery also drains - not as much as the earlier battery yet - because it is only 2 or 3 months old as of today. I have paid a higher price than for Vaio that I would have paid for the same configuration in another brand. I feel it was a terrible investment. Apart from the money value, is the time and hassle of taking it to the Service Centre 4 times. This was my first Vaio. And most definitely my last. I do not recommend this brand to anyone looking to buy a laptop. It's more expensive and as from my experience does not perform normally even when brand new. Was this information helpful?
