[Resolved]  State Bank Of Hyderabad — poor service

Respected Sir,
My name is Pulle Krishna Murthy. My age is 84 years. I am a retired Municipal Corporation Executive and drawing pension from SBH municipal Corporation branch, Visakhapatnam(branch code 721).My account number is [protected]. Due to my age ,health, and summer heat , I am not to able to go to SBH branch.
With great difficulty I have gone to the SBH Muncipal Corporation,Visakhapatnam branch for replacement of ATM card. I wish to tell my experience with the branch.
I am utilizing ATM facility from a long time.The card issued to me is in bad condition and the Magnetic Strips are damaged.I asked your bank staff to replace the card with a new one as it is not working.
They replied that I have to register a complaint to the toll free number of BANK that this old card is lost. Then only they will replace the card. Another surprise thing that SBH staff told that the bank will collect charges for lost card and for replacement of new card.I asked your people that old card is not lost, it is damaged. There is no necessity to register as lost. I am ready to surrender. The staff expressed great difficulty to mark that the old card as surrendered.The staff can mark in their system that the old card is surrendered. But they have not done.This shows the laziness of the staff.
Is there is any rule/law that If a customer denying service at the branch level.? Is your branch higher officials are giving in that way to the branches? How your people are denying to register the old card as surrendered at the branch premises? Any higher official of the bank ever noticed this type of service at the branch.?
The staff simply replied that we have follow their procedure only. Then only we will get a new card.
O.K . due my age , though my health is not permitting me to do so, I have tried for an hour to register with the toll free number. It is always busy. I am unable to convey the same to the toll free number.
I contacted your branch and expressed the difficulty. They simply replied that we have to try for hours and there is no second option.The staff are very discourteous and not serving the OLDPEOPLE like me.
They do not care about customers.
At this age it is not possible for me to Visit the branch again. Hence I request you to tell your Branch staff to come and collect the old ATM card and replace with a new one.

Respected Sir, dr br ambedkar open university jublihills sbh branch service is very poor... in that branch not responding any staff to public... branch manager also not responding any complaints... that all staff not giving respect to public... and also poor computer skills, poor communication skills...
As such there is no mechanism to block your card at the branch itself. Even if that is done by force your present and all future cards will not work enmass. Further a new card request maybe raised at the branch irrespective of your first card being blocked or not. So the branch can go a head in booking a new card. But as per the banks record you are holding two cards (you can have any number of cards with different PINs). So for holding two cards an amount of 200 Rs I.e 100 for each account will be deducted from your SB AC in the month of march as annual maintenance fee. So it is advisable to block your damaged or mutilated card by informing the help line no[protected] or[protected] + 4 press to 4 to get reponse in Telugu. If the old card is blocked after the new Card is received and activated there is a danger of blocking the new card instead of the damaged card. So it is better to get your old card blocked at the help line. This help line facility is provided to block you card on the go from any where in India so that you may not loose any money if you loose your card also. So please follow the staffs instruction in this regard. with out knowing the reasons behind it, Many people are un-knowingly paying for 2 or more cards even though they are using single card . Because no one has informed to block the old cards, you are lucky in this regard. So please get your old card blocked at the help line and book your new card at the branch by paying its fee 200 rs

If this is not provided raise the level complain to Br manager, AGM, DGM, GM raise the level every time if your request is not heard to. Insist on providing BCSBI rules in Telugu all your rights (HAQU-LU) are provided in it.
