Tata Docomo — Tricked into Paid Service without information

1. GREEDY
Time & again the GREEDY product managers at Docomo come up with various unethical means to force you into a paid service which you didn't intend to subscribe. They are CHEATS who will milk you hoping you won't have time or find it worthwhile to rebut.

First I was sent a SMS link which activated Mobile TV @Rs250 pm without intimation about the charges. All that the SMS mentioned was "Click on the link to view Mobile TV" & viola the service was activated and Rs.250 deducted promptly from my prepaid balance.
It took me several several calls & emails to get me off that hook. The customer service guys are pathetic & don't have any sense to understand and respond to customer grievances (they kept blaming me for activating the service). The issue surfaced the subsequent month too & I got deducted for the service again (even after assurance from the Customer service rep that it was deactivated). It again took me several several calls & emails to get me off that hook. I clearly instructed the customer rep that "please do not activate ANY services on my account unless I give a written instruction".

It has happened again - this time I got coaxed in a similar manner into a service call SAVVN (Rs.100+). Spoke to the customer service rep immediately & after several followups they kept staying they cannot deactivate. I don't find it worthwhile now to deal with them anymore.

2. PATHETIC CUSTOMER SERVICE
Getting through to the customer care rep is a herculean task - be prepared to spend several hours to reach them.
You will get charged for talking to a customer representative.
Once you get to them - you will find that the reps are unresponsive & are not really there to solve issues.
They do not maintain a log of your past interactions & you need to explain everything over and over again each time you call.

3. POOR NETWORK & 3G
The phone network keeps vanishing once in a while.
Your 3G data plan will not get you 3G speeds (it is normally at 2G & very slow).
The Data link keeps getting disconnected every now & then.
