[Resolved] Tata Indicom — Welcome Tunes

Hi, I had activated Welcome Tune Service on 12th Jan 2010 (around 7:13pm) for the song "give me some sunshine" - by sending SMS WT265370 to 12800. But no song is played whenever anybody calls me. So I called Customer Care (a couple of times) and informed them. They told me to do various things like: 1. Dial *33 (then switch off the phone and then turn it on back) 2. Send MY10 to 12800 3. Also asked me to wait for 24hrs I did all the above and finally on 14th Jan I registered the complaint with the customer care and they gave me this complaint Id: PTC[protected] with resolution day 14th Jan and time 16:44hrs. But, interestingly.. the complaint was not solved. After 15th I have called the customer care on numerous occasion to inform them about this and every time they have asked to give 24hrs to solve the problem. Finally today 21st Jan 2010 almost 8 days (... cant calculate hours as maths is poor) have gone by and the complaint is still pending. My balance was deducted by Rs. 43 for activation of this service and I have also spent a couple of more bucks calling customer care as I was in roaming for couple of days. But, no use as the issue still remains. I am very sure that next month on 12th Feb, 2010 they will deduct Rs. 10 from my account for continuation of this service which in reality not in service. I have also written to the customer service email: cs.[protected]@tatatel.co.in, but no reply till date. Can I get a solution to this issue through this forum. Regards, Viraj V. Some songs are not played as welcome tunes when their code is messaged through mobile. Instead other song is played. I have registered my complaint 3 times in customer care but no action has been taken.

i have downloaded a song as my welcome tune...have only one complaint that, before the song play some advertisement am getting like, press * to copy this song, so i should get this, when someone calls me i should get only the song...so please remove that *press to copy this song, only song should come if someone calls me..ok...so kindly acept my request

i have set my favirout caller tune more then 7 times, , , but it was not complete..its realy bad, , , insteed of that, some other tunes are activate...

I have lost my telephone with sim card on 14feb.2010. i have blocked my sim. now i want blank sim card urgently but same is not available in any of your three galary.
without sim my business cell phonewill be locked for weeks time. this is very horrible. please issue blank sim card at dombivli urgently

TATA Indicom — Advertising in Welcome Tunes

Hi,

I have activated welcome tunes on my number. But, every time anybody calls me there is a advertising message played "IS CALLER TUNE KO COPY KARNE KE LIYE * DABAIYE....." and my callers do not get to listen the song I have selected as I pick up my calls in 2 - 3 rings.

When I called the customer care they said all the service providers are doing the same and when this message is been played I actually do not get the ring.

But, I have personally verified that:
a. Not all the service providers are doing this
b. When this message is been played I do get the rings

My simple question is why Tata Indicom is then charging me for welcome tunes when actually they are promoting there service through me.

Also, all my money which they have deducted (Rs. 30) is actual waste as the service is no playing the songs for my callers (as the callers usually listen to their message by the time the phone is picked)

I this not consumer exploitation and fraud business practice the Tata Indicom is doing.

I think the indicom ppl for that matter all the service providers who are doing this should give us free recharge coupens as we are advertising their VAS.

I have buy four new sim. one no.is [protected]. this sim i was not used and most of this sim was full packed than my service provider is start welcome tunes and send me bill.

than i will tell pali branch of tata indicom, than he say i will adjusment in next bill.
next month bill was same to same and i will pay the bill amount.

than at last i was discouncted this no.[protected]and say to pali branch, than officer lalit say to me that this no. is discounncted . than will pay half month rental .

at last my refund is 248 rupes. only and will pay refund amount is 500 repes.
company was doing very worg and pali branch also..
plz do some think
