Tata Indicom — existing customer - new connection denied on account of bachelorhood

Dear Sir,

With extreme grief I would like to report the bizarre reason for which I have been denied two tata indicom wireline connections for my office and the subsequent broadband connection that I intend to take with it. My name is Abhijit Sahay and I am a customer of Tata Indicom for the past two years with telephone numbers[protected] and[protected]. Recently I have taken up a franchise of Motilal Oswal Securities (am a sub-broker) and am in need of two wireline connections for my new office.

I applied for these two connections by paying a cheque of 2244/- cheque no: - 543403 of axis bank with application number 00457763. I also applied for a broadband connection by paying an amount of INR 281/- with cheque no:- 543405 of axis bank. It has been nearly two weeks and I didn't hear a word about the installation from your esteemed organization. On account of my personal visit to your true value hub (none of your executives would take my call once they collected the application and the relevant documents) I was told that the new connections have been denied to me on account of my bachelorhood.

Well as if its not enough for you that I am a customer for two years, and if its because of my bachelor status that I am being denied the new connections I would like to ask why was I given my residential phone line connections at the first place. I know that you guys will make everything convenient for you by stating that its' the new company policy, i haven't come across any such written policy either on your website or anywhere.

I intend to remain a bachelor for the rest of my life as your group chairman Mr. Ratan Tata. I would therefore request you take a look at the application status and confirm the response given to me by your employees at the true value hub.

I also see no reason as to why I should continue with my existing connection and therefor am ccin the customercare to guide me as to how to get rid of this shameful connections at my home. I am so grieved by this baseless and childish reason of a group company of Tata that I don't wish to see your handsets in my home either. I am also determined to take this matter at the appropriate forum and contest this decision.

Lastly as an investor in your company, i am determined to take this matter at the appropriate level. While I have applied for connections with other companies be rest assured I am going to fight it out, no matter how much time it takes, lest it be a confustion from your part.

In retrospection why do you put such misleading graffitis titled "customer satisfaction" in your true value hub wherein it says that 68% of the existing customers leave because of an "attitude of indifference by the Company". While i did get a taste of this attitude of indifference, I'm getting much more than that.

Best Regards,
Abhijit Sahay,
