[Resolved]  TATA Indicom / Tata Photon — Yet to get my connection, 10 days since I paid the money

Dear Sir,

I had applied for a Tata Indicom Photon Wifi broadband connection on 23rd September from the Ghatkopar West Tata Indicom Outlet. I had paid the entire amount for the device by cash. The sales person (One Mr.Javed) promised that I would get the connection latest by the following monday that is 27th september.

However, on 27th, Javed called and said that the wi-fi devices were out of stock and why dont I buy a photon USB connection instead. When I insisted on the Wi-Fi and questioned that if there was a stock issue, why wasn't that highlighted before accepting payment - I was only offered unconvincing answers and "discounts" on the new tata photon connection if I agreed to shift the connection. However, I insisted on the wi-fi connection only.

I also complained online on the Tata Indicom website, but of no avail. On registering the complaint for the second time, I got an automated reply (on 1st October) suggesting that I would get a call from their customer service executive within 6 working hours.

Even after waiting for two days, I did not get that much awaited call. I called back to the numbers given but could not find the people mentioned in the mail. (some Ms. Suguna Shetty / Siva Mallik). However, some other gentleman heard out my complaint and registered yet another complaint number.

The shocking news however, was that our application had not been even registered yet in the system. Though they have "promised" to revert by 7th october I am apprehensive. I don't know why i have a feeling that I've been smartly cheated by Tata Indicom and now am poorer by 5000 rupees and all this mental agony of following up - after having paid the full money in cash.

Hope there is some forum of redressal for this. Attaching the details below:-

1) My application form number : 3155196
2) Bought at : Tata Indicom showroom, Ghatkopar West, Mumbai.
3) First online complaint number : 193404 (There was no response for this)
4) Second online complaint number: 194471 (Got an automated email for this)
5) Number I was asked to call: Nodal Office,[protected]
6) Another complaint number (received on calling them today) :[protected]

I am also attaching the photos of the application form. Hoping against hope for some concrete action on this issue, beyond automated reply's or consoling e-mails saying they are "investigating".

Still no response from these guys. Tata Indicom is turning out to be a complete white collared criminals with absolute nonchalance on customer service and appalling service levels.

Its 2 days since the next false assurance. We got in touch with your outlet manager - one Mr.Prakash (phone number[protected] who promised delivery within 24 hrs. As per his commitment the unit had to be delivered yesterday. Yesterday, he again went back on his words and asked for an additional day to get us the unit. Today in spite of following up relentlessly, all I get to hear is promises to revert within half an hour which do not seem to be materializing.

First of all the phone rings endlessly without a response or is switched off. After trying many times, there is finally a response and another commitment to respond within half an hour but of no avail.

I am completely fed up with your false promises. Either your company's customer service culture is pathetic or perhaps you have a standard operating procedure to find gullible individuals and cheat them. I guess, I will have to look elsewhere finally for redress my grievance.

Tata Indicom / Tata Photon — Product not delivered in spite of payment

Did online purchase of Tata Photon Whiz along with Unlimited postpaid option. Made full payment through their online shopping side ichoose.in on June 26, 2011. Product along with post paid connection was promised to be delivered within 3 working days. No signs of it. No calls from Tata Indicom. Called up variouis customer care numbers and nobody is able to track the order. Application Form No. is ET00361500. Registered complaint at Tata Photon complaint cell[protected] on Jul 5, 2011. Got complaint no.[protected] with promise of revert within 48 hrs. Today called again, was told matter escalated and somebody will revert in 24 hrs.
