My wife bought me a Titan Fastrack watch on our anniversary. She already confirmed with the staff if required, it can be exchanged. As I had already set my eyes on an other model, I and my wife went to the store at The World of Titan, Malhotra Enterprises, 33-34, Shipra Mall, Indirapuram, Ghaziabad 201012 and requested for an exchange, which they agreed. However, an elderly man, probably the owner, categorically stated the exchanged watch should NOT be less in price than the one we had already bought. We agreed to it. He already seemed upset about something and his behavior was not that of a good seller. We ignored it. The salesman was preparing the new bill. We were kept waiting for good 15-20 minutes. I asked the man why is it taking him so much time. Before he could say anything, the elderly person just shot at me, saying don't you see he working. I asked him very politely, sir, this is not how you talk to your costumers and to my surprise, he answered that he had not asked us to buy watch from his shop and we can leave if we want to. I was very surprised and taken aback and then he went on to say, today's generation do not have patience and they do not know how to talk. I was waiting there for 15-20 minutes. I think that was quite a patience on my part. His staff tried to pacify him but he was uncontrollable. I repeatedly told him, sir, please give your valuable customers some request and to not talk in unruly manner and I also told him that I am not used to such comments and had he been of my age, I would have taught him a lesson. His behavior was very unruly and not warranted for. I was very disappointed by this. We were there to celebrate our anniversary and it turned out to be a bad one because of this elderly man, who probably thought he is obliging us to sell us his product. Was this information helpful? |
