I have also faced the clutch problem with Toyota Fortuner at only 16000 km. TKM took 7 days to replace as no spare parts were available. TKM charged me Rs.36953.00 and didn't replace under warranty. which is totally unethical. Now I am taking them to consumer Forum.
We should get together and fight with Toyota:

i bought toyota fortuner 2012, 4x2 diesel, i had the same problem, my car is a year old with mileage of 35000km. This is really a bad experience since the car is still new and Toyota Cubao, Metro Manila, Philippines cannot charge it on it's warranty. This reflects the quality of the new Toyota cars which is not good and the warranty they offer. I really hope they address this certain issue because investing on something you thought would be worth it and is now deffective would be a disappointment to future toyota clients and the recent owners. If you have the same problem please e-mail me at [protected]@yahoo.com
My 4 x 4 Fortuner which is one year old with 14600 kms logging does not deliver power.
The dealer Galaxy Toyota Okhla New Delhi says the clutch plate and pressure plate is worn out.
Blames me for riding the clutch. I am driving my own vehicles like jeep, Tata Sumo, Maruti Dzire and Hyundai Elantra for the last 33 years and have logged not less than six lakh km
None of above Indian cars gave me trouble like this.To avoid obligation under warranty Toyota Dealers are trying to blame customers
Toyota can't afford to make such a comment in any other country where they would be surly take to the court. It is possible in India.

This is Sunil Joon having your toyota fortuner which is one year old with milages of 20000 kms. I want to lodge a complaint about the pressure plates of my car. I was having a problem of vibration during the pick up of my car. Then i took it to the Galaxy Toyota moti nagar where i was informed that sir it may be due to your clutch would have been wear away. Then they checked my car and they found that the pressure plates are wear away and my clutch plate is okay. how can it happen that pressure plates wear away and clutch plate is okay. Please i want you to help me out in this and give me a firm solution. I only chose toyota because of quality otherwise i would have also chosen the companies like Tata Maruti and all. And The behaviour of service staff ( Galaxy Toyota moti nagar ) was unbearable.
