I brought 3 Taj Models and 1 Small Marble show piece.
These were gifts for colleagues. I did not pay attention while they were packing the items.
I was shocked on checking the items at home as they were different from the items shown in the show room. The Taj Model was made of cheap chalk stone as they explained that chalk will leave a mark on hard wood when scrawled while marble will not. The workmanship on marble show piece was very bad. Shoddy in fact.

that company is fraud.i have purchased products worth 4050 from them.they asked me to pay 1000 in advance and rest after delivery of products thru vpp.i havent recieved them even after 15 days.

I fully agree. I am also suffering from the similar situation.

I have purchased Shoes from '' UP Handicrafts & Handlooms Centre '' having address as '' Govt. Shopping Arcade, West Gate, Taj Mahal, Agra-282001 ''.

Lot of sales talks have been done like Camel Shoe, 3 years warranty etc. etc. but shoe was broken in just 3 months.

I do not have any contact number of this shop & Khadi Gram Udyog, New Delhi has refused to accept this shoe since they do not have any tie up with this Agra shop.

I would be thankful, if someone can provide me the contact number of this Agra shop so that I can talk to them & find out the solution.

you will get 75 % return money back whenever you want
but this is fake, fruad, cheating
so beware of this kind of fruad
all are fake

UP handicrafts and Handlooms, — not yet received product

My self Dhirendra Kumar have purchased two sarees from UP HANDIKRAFTS AND HANDLOOMS,GOVT. SHOPPING ARCADE WESTERN GATE -282001 ,TAJ MAHAL,AGRA. They have guaranted to deliver the product in 7 days on mention address in cash memo.But its been more than 15 days of purchase and it has not been delivered yet.They have no contact number anywhere on cash memo or online.

i also totally agree with the previous complaints . i gave them the whole money n its been 15 days no vpp has reached to my address

Anybody took legal action against this person? Please respond to this post, you can join me because I am going to.

Yes I agree they are totally Fraud...i bought the Shoe and Sandal for the Home delivery on 31st Jan from the West gate Agra but stll there is no delivery at all moreover they have not provided any contact no also.I searched one no from the net but no one is picking the call on that no [protected].Be aware dont buy anything from the Agra..they are 100% Fraud..If any one is having the details for consumer court to file compalain against them then please mail me at [protected]@gmail.com

I purchase 1 pure white Marble TAJ Mahal and 2 Lamp, very good quality, from Handicraft & Handlooms Emporium, 9, Gen Carriappa Road, Agra- 282 001, India on 18 February 1980, their Cash Memo receipt no is 640 and telephone number was 76923.

I also paid delivery charges to post at my UK adderess at 124 Powerscroft Road, Clapton, London E5 0PP.

Till today I necer received it

This was my first visit to India and trusted them that they will be honest and they wlll post me but they never post it to me.

They shows me many foreign addresses including many addresses in the UK who paid them money to deliver their gooods.

I wonder what happen to me them.

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am Gyanaranjan Khuntia had gone to Agra to visit different places.At that time I have done some shopping in your authorised showroom and got exploited in the following way:
U.P. Handicrafts & handloom Palace.
54, G.C Road, Baluganj, Agra-282001.
They have made the following promises while buying the sarees and bedsheets.
1)One saree made up of bamboo:If I don't like it after taking then I can return it on any Khadi Mandir showroom with only 1% cut.
2)4 sarees made up of banana trees with silver work each costing 1250/-.There will be a gurantee of 5 years and whenever i will return i will get 80% money as back along with the above condition also.
3) 1 bedsheet with 9 year gurantee along with the 1st condition.
4) There will be parcel charge.

But they have not sent one bamboo saree and no bills were sent along with the sarees saying the condition mentioned above.They have only given the order receipt bearing the no:2124.When I tried to contact the showroom nobody has picked, after some days the phone is disconnected.I have paid the full amount along with the courier charge.But there is one saree missing and second thing is that there is no bill to claim for return or anything else except the order receipt.

Please take this matter seriously otherwise it creates a very bad impression among tourists.I am staying in Delhi.Please feel free to contact me if there is any issue.
If I will not get any satisfactory answer then I will be forced to lodge a complain against the showroom.

Myself & friend faced the same problem. We bought the same products from the same shop. Shopkeeper told us exactly what you've mentioned & it's all fake. There are others who are victim of this. What i'm suggesting is if we all can launch a complain against him in Consumer Court? Please advice.

I haven't received my parcel as they assured that they will sent through courier.

I am very much upset by seeing such things happen with tourists in Agra.

I will not let it go this if situation demand I"ll go personally there and fight.

If anyone has solution please help me.

hello guys, even we faced exactly the same problem in agra with UP HANDLOOMS GALLARY AND ARTS. we bought 7 sarees of worth 9300 and was cheated, the sari's each didnt cost more than 600 when compared to what we bought which is of 2500, 1250, 1550 .. which is just not worth.. the owner actually said tat it was government owned shop.. which was false.. therefore government has to consider this n solve for the same, as tourists might get a bad impression about the government...

Please don't buy any thing from the agra, mainly meena bazar near taj mahal(UP Handloom). They make fool to customer.
