[Resolved] Vasai Cable Pvt. Ltd. — ISP providing less than half of advertised Internet speeds. | |||
I have been paying for a 5 megabits/second Internet plan for the past few months. About 3-4 months ago, my download speeds started getting limited to 2 megabits/second, and would never go higher than that. I called the representative who manages the Internet in my side of town and he told me that the company's router was faulty, and that they had ordered a new one, and the Internet speeds would be back to normal within 1-2 weeks. He said the same thing when I called him a couple of weeks later. So I emailed customer support telling them I was getting bad service and asking when I could expect it to be fixed. I got no reply. I sent another email a few weeks later, but still got no reply. In addition to this, the quality of service that Vasai Cable provides is horrendous. I encounter packet-loss throughout the day. Sometimes it's just a few packets every few seconds or so, which can make VOIP conversations and online gaming very frustrating. And sometimes, EVERY SINGLE PACKET is dropped for minutes at a time, MULTIPLE times throughout the day. This makes it impossible to do anything online. And if that isn't bad enough, sometimes the Internet just shuts off for hours on end. Was this information helpful? | |||
