[Resolved]  Vian Infrastructure — Fraudulent Plot and Apartment Sales

I am a UK resident. I put down deposits for 2 apartments in Mira Road, Mumbai, 2 plots in Jaipur and 2 plots in Neemrana back in January 2007. I paid 25,000 GBP in total or 1,715,000 Rupees. Suria Tharpar was my main contact in their temporary office in London, UK. I contacted Vian again in January 2009 to ask for a progress report and was advised that the Mira Road project had been suspended and that I could get a refund or transfer the monies to Neemrana and Jaipur. I advised that I would like a refund. Vian said I needed to complete a refund request form-my contact in India was Ramesh Pai. I did this and did not hear from them for a while. I contacted Ramesh Pai again in January 2010 and he advised that he had resigned from Vian and I should call them on a new number he had provided. This telephone number[protected] is also on the Vian website. I called the number but it does not exist.

I do not now know how I will get my refund now.

Anyone can tell me the progress of Neemrana projects as they are telling that registration of plots will be started from 20.04.10.
The correct telephone number is[protected]. You may speak to Tarun Sharma ([protected]) or Sandip Anand([protected]) Asstt Managers of Marketing or their Patwari Somveer([protected]). They have shifted their office to 3E/14 Jhandewalan Extension, New Delhi-110005.

As to getting a refund, it seems almost impossible, given the financial situation they are in. I would further add that Surya Thapar has been arrested by Economic Offenses Wing of Delhi Police in Aug.2009 and they don't even have enough resources to have him released on bail.

It is nightmarish situation. The best that can be done is that investor should join together and help find a way out.

I have made full and final payment for a plot at Neemrana. Today when I checked up about the status, I was told that letters have been issued which would reach us in a week's time.
