Videocon D2H — Refund of charges

Dear Concerned,

I purchased a Videocon D2H connection on March 14, 2011 with reference #74568221075140145900028 for 1,088.00 as an online transaction. Order number at D2H is D2H[protected].

Right from the beginning, there were enough issues, which could not be resolved by the D2H team. Summary of the problems is given below:

• Display issues: D2H Setup box installed on the day of installation was showing some display to determine whether the setup box is turned on or off. When the engineer changed the setup box, due to an unknown reason, the display was not available in the setup box. Now, it only shows a red colored light which does not give any indication whether it is on or off.
• Delay in activation: The engineer who installed the dish and setup box, could not activate the connection until evening 3 or 4 o'clock. In order to get that done, I had to be following up with the dedicated cust. care team.
• South package: I complained on the second day itself that I am not able to watch Telugu channels, wherein I should be getting all the channels as per the offer made by Videocon online transactions team. They say, I asked for Tamil channels. This shows clear negligence from the online transactions team, as they activated Tamil pack for a resident of Andhra Pradesh, which is basically a Telugu dominated area! Much to my surprise, the dedicated customer care team does not show any interest in reverting the package from Tamil to Telugu.
• Remote and quality complaints: Within 4 days' since installation, engineer had to visit the site again due to quality issues and remote not working for TV. Why was the remote not synchronized the day installation was carried out? I showed your engineer the difference between local cable line quality and D2H signal quality. He agreed that the local cable line is giving better quality. I requested him to do the needful if at all he can do something to improve the quality, he said "this is the best we can give." JFYI: Only remote issue was solved for complaint number 33938516.
• Followup issues: The above-mentioned issues have been raised to the dedicated support team, whose response was not so fruitful.

In light of the above issues, I requested for the cancellation of services on March 29, 2011, but this issue has been prolonged until now (today is May 17, 2011) and did not receive my refund. Everytime i call to check with the customer care team, different people will answer my call and there would not be a regular person to answer the query. Moreover, they ask me to explain them what is the issue right from the beginning.

This is very much depressing and I am hoping to have a resolution through "www.grahakseva.com"
