[Resolved]  Vijayakumar Agencies, Pammal,Chennai — Gas Booking Numbers always Busy

I have Gas connection with Vijayakumar Agencies, Pammal, Chennai 600 075 with Consumer No. 13235.

Their contact Numbers are[protected],[protected],[protected] &[protected] will always Busy (???) and we can not contact them over the phone for booking gas and every time we have to visit to premises and book the cylinder. Thier office time and Private companies office time are not matching.

I am facing this same problem during past 1 year and Peoples are used come to Gas agency office and shouted. NO BODY is bothering on our problem & addressing the issues.

Kindly request you to suitable action on Gas Agency to enable to book a Gas cylinder through a Phone .

We also face the same problem for several months. The contact numbers are ALWAYS BUSY...! The number[protected] is temporarly out-of-order.
We request you to kindly take measures to solve this issue asap and enable the customers book for Gas Cylinder by phone.
Hello Sir,

Whatever you said are true. Also the people working inside are not doing the satisfactory service to the Customers. Whenever you call them over phone for booking cylinder they reply like a Boss to a servent. When there is a late arrival of cylinder and when you enquire through phone they don't know how to please the customer.


Officials has to take neccessary action on this to make customer happy and friendly.

When every thing is available on phone why not gas supply. As Sh.Jayabalan said, all the time the phones are busy. One day I really wanted to know what is the real problem there. I took one hour permission from the office and went to M/S. Vijayakumar Agency. I tried the phone number from my mobile phone but no one knows that I am trying the agency number. Luckily phone is ringing with the very feeble sound and I have been watching any one is picking that phone but no one bothered to pick that phone even though two female employees and one old employee is standing near by. After that call is over I again tried from my mobile but it got engaged then clearly under stood the call engaged sound is the poor customers like us keep on trying to get the customer service(?)executive but how every one know that they very lethargic and unfriendly.

I immediately asked the lady (executive) why all the time your phones engaged and do you expect us to come personally to book gas supply ? She immediately replied no no we have attending all the phone. I told her I have been trying your number but no one is bothered to pick the phone and at the same time I shown her my mobile ringing but no one is picking . She really not expected this but she started escaping from there. I asked for the Manager or the Owner of the Gas agencies but no one had come forward to give the name or phone number.

What to do ? Who is listening our voice or the genuine grievances? What Indian Oil is doing? Are they appraising their distributors periodically? They should train them to the customer need or at least cater to the minimum requirement of the customers.

It seems the person who are all working in the customer support field has to check the ear at least once in a year.

This gas agency seems to be very very poor in customer satisfaction.

We the people of Pammal facing lot of problem while booking the gas connection thro telephone we want to escalate this to higher level can any one help us in doing so
Yes, something wrong with the attitude and service of the staffs who work in Vijayakumar Gas Agency, Pammal. for past months i never suceeded in booking by telephone as they never attends calls and i saw they have kept the receiver aside and when i enquired why they done, they just replied telephone out of order. irresponsible fellows. IOC have to look into these kind of dealers as consumers we are sufferers as we have no other ways for cooking in home without using Indane.
Add this point also,


complaint about LPG delivery staff demanding money to supply cylinders. At first while delivering a cylinder to customer they asked/begged for Rs. 5 or Rs. 10/- extra, but, now see the rules implemented by the delivery staffs.

One fine day, while delivering a cylinder to my home the staff asked me Rs. 330/- for delivering the cylinder. I saw in the bill, the price of cylinder is Rs. 315/- only. Before, people, the staffs ask/beg customers to give extra amount of Rs. 5/- or Rs. 10/- but now they demand to give Rs. 330/- otherwise they said that we will give cylinder to another one. Adding oil on flame, he said that they don't get salary for delivering cylinders to customers, not even a daily basic amount, . (Padi in tamil) that's why we collect money from customer and this is our salary, he added.

Kindly look upon this issue also and comment on the same, Public.

My customer no: 15544
yesterday and today (02/nov/2010) all the contact numbers[protected],[protected],[protected] &[protected] are out of order. Always getting delayed to delivery the cylinder.

Have to wait 20 days for booking
and Have to wait 18 days to get the booked cylinder. This happens from the beginning when I get the connection (2 years)

but still there is no action from the higher officers.

Also another issue started, the delievery boy not accepting me to check the cylinder leakage at the time of delivery. Without check how can customer use that.

VIJAYAKUMAR AGENCIES, PAMMAL, CHENNAI - I have never seen such devil-may-care from any agencies before. I see this agency is doing some illegal business by giving customers used cylinders tampering the original seals. I don't know this is aided by IOC itself. If someone provide any sort of information on taking this complaint to IOC or provide details on addressing this issue to IOC much appreciated.

wat the HELL agency is tis? always no. is busy...cant able to contact in landline...should take action on them they should be enquired by the govt whether they r doin illeagal business or not...
Or else the people shoul go to consumer court together...then onl v can find any solution for tis problem
the same thing happening to me, even when we try to complain about our gas cylinder leakage, they have not truned about immediage action.

Not only busy. Even If it rings, No one is picking the call. All 5 Phone numbers are ringing but no one answering.
