Vodafone — Caller tones
This is just one of the never ending miseries of using Vodafone service. Last time I tried to be good to them by switching to prepaid from post paid as I was going back home to North east (As I won't be able to pay them my bills from there and I didn't want to default on paying bills). I cleared all the bills and paid them the extra amount meant for the new sim as well for continuing with the same number. But all this genuine gesture left a disparaging taste to me. I was barred from outgoing for about a week. I went from pillar to post in many of there centres and there customer care. Nothing worked. I eventually had to cancel my that number. I faced a lot of problems due to that as I had to change it right from Banking, credit card, office records and heavens know how many more!
This time I had to use another vodafone number due to their STD value of 1 rupee with a value recharge of 31 (Which I found to be the most feasible one currently available in the market). This time I tried to copy a caller tone after hearing a song by pressing *. When I tried calling my number I was shocked to my wits end when I heard an entirely different caller tone. (They charged Rs. 30 for that). When I called up the customer care they said they could't do anything about it. After a while I got the song I wanted to copy but they deducted another 15 Rupees from my account. I also got some message stating Rs 30 would be deducted from my account this month for some "CRBT" whereas I don't remember placing any request for that.
Vodafone should be severely penalised for such gross negligence and shortage in services.
