I am a senior citizen lady. I bought a prepaid vodafone sim of 1 year validity for Rs498 on 1st March 2008 from an authorised vodafone ministore on VIP road kolkata and was using the balance talktime with very limited outgoing calls or sms. The voda perhaps didn't like my thrifty use and on 27th march at 12-24-37 pm suddenly sent an sms " The ckt offer has been activated on your vodafone mobile phone, monthly rent of Rs 99 hasbeen deducted from your balance". Before I could recover from this blaff another sms was received at 12-26-39 pm "You have successfully subscribed to the vodaphone monthly cricket pack..."
Accept viewing the above two sms I haven't even touched my mobile and they are saying I have "successfully subscribed" voda's monthly cricket and that even at this age and being an old lady. I became alarmed and went to the last voda sms's reply mode and sent at 12-29-24 pm " U r wrong. I havn't subscribed". Voda replied "Hello, you have entered the wrong key word. Please enter the desired key word and sms to 56789." Though they said that I enterd wrong keyword their activation continued
and from 27th 12-30 pm onward Iam continously receiving the annoying intermittent ringing of incoming sms for no fault of mine.
I am used to BSNL services and have never faced this type of notoriety. BSNL though have improved a lot in their service may still have some lacunae in its service but I have never heard of such 3rd rate baniya attitude with BSNL.
After that I talked with voda's customer service but accept some hollow courteous assurances, they couldn't do any thing. The customer care informed that the matter will be finalised within 31st compelling me to suffer this annoyance for 3/4 days more.
I long these nuisences with the customers will continue.
Can any body suggest how I can lodge complaint on this to TRAI and consumer court. Please help. Was this information helpful? |
