[Resolved]  Vodafone — Excess roaming gprs charged

Hi, I am writing with respect to excess gprs charges applied for my vodafone no. [protected]. The services request no. is [protected] . This is getting ridiculous every single time. I have written two mails to corporate.[protected]@vodafone.com regarding the matter as they have confirmed to me that they have not recieved the first mail i sent on 14 aug 2013. I was in chattisgarh and was using vodafone gprs on home network (ie vodafone) by manually selecting vodafone on my handset. I have been to this state before also and have used vodafone gprs and that time i was not charged excess. I selected the network by manually to avoid getting latched to any other network (in my case IDEA). I have to know how can my service start on vodafone and end on idea. Also how can the network override my manual setting. I have written mails and requested for call backs. But they never happened. I have attached the web chat with vodafone also. Request you to look into this matter and grant the reversal for extra gprs charges applied. Regards, Ramya Krishnan

Vodafone India Customer Care's response
Hello Vikram,

Please be informed that GPRS is a default service. If the settings are saved or are predefined in your handset by the manufacturer, you will be able to use the GPRS service and will be charged 10 paisa/10 KB. We would like to inform you that the charges levied towards GPRS are accurate and we will be unable to reverse the same. You can email us at vodafonecare.[protected]@vodafone.com for further assistance or call us on our toll free number 198, we'll do our best to help.

Vodafone — charged for GPRS service not used

Hi,
I have been charged iPhone GPRS usage for the past 4 months regularly when no one at my place uses a iPhone. I have placed a complaint every month with the vodafone customer care and there has been no response received so far. They keep on transferring the calls to some other representative to no avail.
I have been charged more than 100 Rs in the past 4 months. Can you please check my past bills and reverse the charges?
Vikram

Hi,

Its been almost a week since your last reply. This is not the first time that vodafone has charged me for excess gprs. Its not even been 3 months since the last incident with the gprs. This complete harassment.

Please provide me with a solution on this matter.

Request you to treat this as urgent and important.

Regards,
Ramya Krishnan
Hi,

You have actually not helped in any way. This is not the first time this has happened. I am going to formally raise a complaint with the consumer court.

Regards,
Ramya Krishnan
