misselling of blackberry 399 plan
Dear Sir,
I would like to complain regarding misselling of blackberry 399 plan. This was a cooperate plan and I was informed that it has unlimited downloading, surfing through my internet browser. However to my surprise I have received a bill for net charges of Rs 1498.90. When I contacted vodafone customer care they informed me that there are 2 types of GPRS services. The details of which are mentioned below:
• Vodafone live! (Basic GPRS)
• Vodafone Mobile Connect (Advance GPRS)
We would like to inform you that VMC and VL has become the core service, just like STD or SMS. Certain applications like YouTube, video/ music streaming (e.g. Music Junction), tickers on HTML sites, handset applications and MMS which uses Vodafone Live! as access point and will be charged @ 10/10KB. These charges are applicable over and above the plan.
If the handset has applications which auto refresh /update by connecting through the WAP gateway (Wireless Application Protocol) i.e. VL, will be charged accordingly. The settings for these applications are predefined on the handset by the manufacturer.
Please note that any video streaming application or real time application like weather/stock/ news updates on the handset may also use VL to connect and will be charged @ 10/10KB.We regret for the inconvenience caused to you.
Further we would like to inform you that the above BlackBerry plan gives unlimited access to BlackBerry data. However this does not include usage of certain applications like YouTube, video/ music streaming, tickers on HTML sites, handset applications and MMS which uses Vodafone Live! as access point and will be charged @ 10p/10KB. These charges are applicable over and above your data plan..So I want to know that why this was not informed earlier wherein I would have not activated this plan. Please look into this matter and advise satisfactory solution.
