[Resolved]  Vodafone — uninformed deductions without any usage

Address:Delhi

hello,

i have been using vodafone for past few years now. since few days i noticed some absurd message appearing on phone randomlÿ saying something "last session, deduction..etc."
since i use phone only for calls and messages i get to know my balance immediatley after any call/message is made with the pop up. however on noticing these absurd messages i thought of checking my last deductions and to my surprise found that Rs.5/- each time had been deducted for atleast the last three deductions that i saw in the name of GPRS service. This is totally bizzare and surprising as I have not used any such service or made an attempt as such or enquired or got it activated.

on speaking to the customer care executive i was told to delete some settings for future but the money that has been deducted will not be reimbursed.

this is a case o[censored]njust deductions.

seek redressal. thanks for your help.

regards,

Vodafone Postpaid — Uninformed charges

I have been a customer of Vodafone from the past 7-8 years and rest assured, I would be last one to complain if I have stuck to their services for so long. Recently on changing my tariff plan, I was told that I will only incur charges on a pro-rata basis so I need not be concerned about any excessive charging on their end. However, on receiving my bill, I was shocked to see such a large amount when I was hardly in town to even use my phone.

I had been a rental for the whole year as I was on an "advance rental plan" but the customer-care executive did not inform me of the same while changing me to another plan upon my request to do so. I do understand that the "advance" tag allows them to charge me in advance for the year but is there no obligation on the customer-care personnel to inform the consumer that upon switching to another plan, I would incur costs for a whole year. I tried to explain this to their helpline but as inefficient as they are, they were not even able to understand my query and refused to let me speak to a senior managerial person at their organization.

This is not the only instance of inefficiency shown by Vodafone in the recent past. I have also taken my iPhone to their service centre a number of times where they have attempted to fix it (but were not able to). Upon my request to remove a tariff plan which is especially for the iPhone, I was assured that the same would be done within the next 48 hours. When I called customer care again after a week, I was told that there was not even a request placed for the removal of that iPhone tariff pack! I had already lodged a complaint with the Vodafone service but have not heard from them and a month has almost passed.

Vodafone Customer Care.
i got a call from vodafone. trying to convince that usage has been initiated from my end.
to furthur my complaint let me put the following contradictions to your claim:

handset- i have been using the same smart phone for past 5 months along with the above said vodafone number and along with all the applications. to prove that the deductions are irrational-

a. check my log of all deductions since 5 months and see how many deductions for gprs exist.
b. to verify that the applications are old enough please have my phone and see the installed date of applications.

now to help you with your investigation (which is least of the priorities at your end) let me tell you that the only change I see is that there are 2G/3G/GPRS singnals in this area.

hence it is very well prove that there is no initiation at my end.

kindly address the matter keeping in mind the above facts and credit my accpunt with the unfair deductions.
