Sub - Foot over bridge required at Amboli Level Crossing on Western Suburban line

Dear Sir,

This is to bring to your notice that a foot over bridge is required at the Amboli Level Crossing on the Western Suburban line between the Andheri and Jogeshwari Railway stations. The reason being on both the eastern as well as the western sides of the level crossing within a proximity of 500 to 800 metres are 6 schools and children use the level crossing to cross over to the eastern or the western side of Amboli.

During school hours i.e. 6.30 - 7.15 am, 12.00 - 01.30 p.m. and 05.30 - 06.30 p.m. there is a heavy traffic of children of varied age group using the level crossing. Also there is enough space for the foot over bridge to be constructed at the level crossing. It becomes very difficult to manage children while crossing the tracks and there is no other option around there other than using the level crossing to move from the east to the west and vice versa.

Would really appreciate it if you could look into the matter and expedite the process of the construction of the footover brigde.

Looking forward to your co-operation.

Thanking you in anticipation.

Regards,

William Rebello
