Dear Sir,
Hope you are well. We have a 2nd floor flat in Old Rajinder Nagar in New Delhi and the K Number is [protected]. We live in this flat for about 4 weeks in the year. We have not stayed there since 18/March/2020 as we arrived back to the UK on 19/March/2020 due to Covid-19. At present we are living in the United Kingdom. In Feb/March 2020 our water meter was replaced because your board insisted that the meter is faulty. Your employee who takes the water meter reading did not listen to me "that We do not live in India" and that is why the meter is not showing much of the reading. I was informed that I needed to replace the meter. We replaced the meter and handed all the necessary documentation to the Jal Board in Old Rajinder Nagar and also paid a few thousands rupees. The person who dealt with this was Mr Kalaish Sharma. Our flat has been locked since 19/March/2020.
Our Aunt who lives on the ground floor informed us that your employee who takes the meter reading has told her that the meter is not working even though she told him that we do not live there and live abroad in the UK and he must have issued a bill. I looked on the internet and the
it shows the following on our K number:
12925.00 rupees Bill on your System.
I would be grateful if you could rectify this mistake and instruct the Old Rajinder Nagar Jal Board that there would not be any usage of water as we do not live there and only come as it is our holiday flat for about 4 weeks in the year. This year there is Covid-19 and we will not come until it is safe for us to travel.
Could you also please confirm this in writing. I would also be grateful if you could instruct your employee who takes these readings not to issue unnecessary bills. This is the second time Jal Board is asking me to pay for meters which are not faulty.
My email address is [protected]@gmail.com.
