DJB Water KNo. [protected]
DJB suggest to replace the water meter which we got replaced on 28-Jan-2020. Since the meter was marked defective so were asked to pay a bill of Rs 1559. We paid the same on 22-Mar-2022.
Since new working meter is there but still we are getting a standard bill and meter status is set to STOPPED. Even after the Reader has taken the reading and accepted that yes meter is working. We have received a bill of Rs 18000 (Eighteen thousands)
We raised the issue with DJB via a written complaint on 11-Mar-2022, since we were out of station for most of the intervening time as below
1) 08-Jun-2019 to 02-Dec-2019
2) 10-Jun-2020 to 20-Feb-2021
3) 20-Jun-21 to 20-Feb-2022
To verify this, last two years Electricity bills were asked and we have submitted the same. Yet no change has been done,
When we visit the DJB office in Sec-6 Rohini they say the Reader has to send data. When we speak to the reader he says i have sent details and it is for now officers to make the correction.
It seems no one is willing to take and action and just keep on piling the standard charges every month. Paying a billing which is excessive and unjust when we just stay in the house for 6 months or so each year.
Please fix meter status and re-calculate the water charges as per meter reading. Was this information helpful? |
