This is regarding high water bill charges. Please refer to the subjected consumer number and attached bill for details. We have been charged Rs. 17733 from Nov'20 to Mar'21.
We didn’t have the meter installed earlier, until 26-NOV-2020 we were getting bills on random/ approx basis from DJB and we paid them on time. All of a sudden bills were not being sent to us as we haven't received anything (paper bill or ebill) post Nov'20 and we cross checked in neighbourhood. No one had recieved and thought it could be a delay at your end, as during Covid-19 rules are changing every now & then across India. Now, in Mar'21 we got a bill of Rs. 17733 since Nov'20, which a huge amount.
Its my humble request to please look into the matter. How is that possible that since Nov'20 we are charged this much? You can see the average consumption of previous bills, we never used this much. Since, we didn't receive anything on a monthly basis; How is this bill justified. Since, the time DJB has installed a meter we got such a high bill. Hope you understand SIr, during this crucial time of pandemic across the country how difficult it is to pay bills.
It seems like the meter is not giving the correct reading or probably its little fast. We have requested the DJB Vasant Enclave office to re-check. To which they have asked us to pay Rs. 150. We have never heard anyone charging to re-check if the meter is working fine. It's not about Rs. 150 but, I wanted to bring to your notice if the right process is being followed for consumers.
Please help in getting the meter & current bill rechecked; so, we can get some leverage on the total amount. My dad is retired & its only my sister & I are working. Like every Indian or human being we are also trying to manage daily household activities. Trying as much as possible and to pay this much seems very difficult. Considering the free units there is definitely something incorrect.
