Updated by Jsingh11 KNO [protected]... when new connection taken, the meter also was taken from DJB but the meter number was not listed from DJB in the new connection receipt we received. all was going well .
IN july, 2020 our water meter and our neighbours water meter(on 1st floor of our same building) was stolen. for this we filed an FIR (copy available), then bought a new meter (DJB approved) and got it installed the very next day.
from then also till september, 2021 there was 0 bill every time reading taken in span of 65-90 days. This January i.e january, 2022 the guy who came to take meter reading said to online add this new meter we bought in july 2020 on DJB website on which i agreed and on same day i tried to follow the steps he insturcted but found that you can only add meter on DJB website online for current month and future months but, not for meter taken added/changed previously.
the very next day water bill raised for inr 1210 where it previous meter status- OK, current meter status- RDDT. span time 141 days, units 62.
but bill for these 62 units + service charge for maintainence of sewarage+service charge for <20units consumed as INR 1210.
i checked the previous history as mentioned in bill also which was from 2020, every where it states status as OK, on average monthly units average or below 14 units and bill as 0.
i have the FIR copy, new DJB approved meter purchase bill copy, warranty card etc.
Now, i request for this problem to be resolved and bill corrected to 0.
