Delhi Jal Board — Wrong excessive billing | |||
This is a complaint regarding excessive wrong billing of our domestic water bill K No. [protected]. We received our bill dated 12th July 2021 on 13th July 2021, which shows the following details: PMR date 08-May-21, status 1625/ok CMR date 12-Jul-21, status 1815 /ok Consumption (KL) = 190 Total payment due = Rs 11, 616/- We want to state that our current billed amount is wrongly calculated for 2 months, actually it is for 5 months i.e. from 15-Feb-21 to 12-Jul-21. We also want bring your kind attention to the fact that nobody visited our house from Delhi Jal Board to check the water meter reading between 15-Feb-21 to 12-Jul-21. And if no one came to check the meter reading then how can the current bill show a bill period of 08-May-21 to 12-Jul-21. It should have been from February onwards. For showing the total water consumption in the current bill one should know the last reading. When nobody visited our house to check the reading in May then it be concluded that the current reading is not for a period of 2 months but it is for a period of 5 months. This proves that the whole calculation of the bill is wrong and hence we request you to get our bill recalculated on the basis of the above fact. To strengthen our point we want to bring your kind notice to the fact that the current bill shows the consumption for 65 days (08-May-21 to 12-Jul-21) as 190 KL but the bill history shows the consumption for 82 days (15-Feb-21 to 08-May-21) as 30 KL only, which is absolutely not understandable. The bill history also shows that our maximum consumption in 60 days has been 60KL only in past year. Then how could the consumption increase more than double when there has been no additional construction, guests or functions in the past one year due to the pandemic. We also want to complain about the wrong LPSC charges added to our current bill. The previous payment done by us was on 28-Feb-21 which was before due date and the last bill shows Rs 0 (see bill history section in the enclosed bill) then why LPSC of Rs 915.57 has been added to our current bill? Hence, based on the above facts we are putting up our complaint that our current bill generated is grossly wrong and we request Delhi Jal Board to kindly correct it and send us a copy of the correct bill. We request you to take an urgent action on our complaint so that we could pay the bill timely and avoid any late payment charges because the due date of our current bill is 29-Jul-21.
