I would like to express my disappointment for Dell product and one of its authorised service centre.
I am using Dell 5548 touch screen laptop bought in January 2016. Its just more than a year and rightside hinge between keyboard and screen came out. I went to Dell authorised service center in Marathalli Bangalore (301 & 302, Sigma Arcade, Old Airport Road, Marathahalli).
The service center people told me it will be charged Rs4800. They told that this is a common issue in this model. This is manufacturing defect and earlier they were charging 5700. They said that they have to replace the whole keyboard panel.
Now my first grievance is disppointing quality of the product and that too is being charged heavily. I have been using dell laptop since 2009 and it still works. With that trust I bought this one. However if this is the quality and customer service, I dont think I would ever go for Dell again.
My second grievance is towards the mentioned service center who I believe are cheating people by using old/used replacement parts. The keyboard panel they replaced with has nick/dent in the side which is not visible if you look at the laptop from top. Unfortunately Its my fault that I did not check the replacement properly and only noticed it while using later that night. Next day morning when I took it to show them, they misbehaved and plainly blamed me. I have not experienced such horrible customer handling yet. I came back but I am highly disappointed with how Dell has authorised such service centers. I can only feel how your customer service has been deterioting. Was this information helpful? |
