Dell India — Laptop issue - used - omr /0829/ 16-17

Hi,

I recently bought a Dell Laptop from your showroom (Dell Inspiron 11-3158). When I opened the package I could see there are scratches on the top and bottom of the laptop. Moreover the laptop is not packed properly in a cover as it came just like that in a cardboard box. There is no protective film on the top of the laptop and nothing in between the Screen & Keyboard. From this I got a doubt that it could be a used laptop.

Then I tried powering on the laptop and it went right through the booting screen to the Desktop screen. For a new laptop this is not supposed to happen. With the doubt being there I checked the profile which was logged in. The login name was “user”.

I just dug in through the storage folders. Found the below information.

• Firstly the C drive is names as “OS” and this is not supposed to be. It should be “Local Disk” which is the default for a new OS.
• Next, there is a folder name Windows.old which implies that a new OS is installed on top of some other OS.
• I just checked the date at which the local account profile is created. It is created on August 5th 2016 and the billing date for my order in August 26th 2016.

When I found out these things I immediately called Jacob from the showroom and told him about the issue.

On all the things found above I can clearly tell that it is a USED laptop and I want the amount paid by me to be refunded.

I have already returned the laptop to the showroom and got a receipt for it. And also I have the bill along with me which was dated 26th August. Please check on this urgently and provide me a solution ASAP.
