Dell — Part replacement | |||||
I recently bought a Dell Inspiron 5558, soon after I unwrapped it I noticed a dent on the card reader slot, I immediately called up the customer care to check if its covered under warranty, the reply was same old 'physical damages are not covered' I replied Okay I am ready to pay for replacing the damaged part & panel. The reply was quite surprising they do not have the spare parts yet & they have no idea when it will arrive. I was forced to put my laptop in a Dell Authorized service center just to get the dent repaired so that I can access my card reader. After receiving from the service center the laptop now looks 2 years older with scratches on the back panel. One Serious question to DELL, Is your company's commitment to a customer is over as soon as he has walked out of the showroom with your product.
