Dell — Warranty period

I purchased Dell N/B 5447 INS 0627 Ci7 Red on March 01, 2015 at Lulu Hypermarket LLC, Muscat, Oman for my daughter Ramya Narasimhan. My daughter immediately registered the product and received a confirmation. My daughter is an intern at Kastuba Medical College Hospital, Manipal, Karnataka and started using the laptop there. The system crashed more than once in March end and when she contacted Dell support she was informed that the warranty expired on April 16, 2015. When I purchased the laptop in Muscat, Oman I was assured of international warranty of one year which is stamped on the invoice. I am quite disappointed with Dell support.
