Had used DTDC service and was satisfied until now. Last week I had a package submitted at a nearby DTDC and had some food items packed along with a watch (an expensive one) as it was a gift, to be delivered to Noida. The agent at the office didn't ask for specifics and just asked what he should write in the receipt, so I went ahead with food items. Upon receipt of delivery, only foods items were found in the package and the WATCH was stolen during the delivery process. When I complained, I was told that DTDC support can't do anything as the watch was never mentioned in the receipt, the entry made by the agent at the time of package submission. The hell did I know that I was supposed to give specifics about the content of the package. This specific information is not mentioned anywhere in your website and should be a standard one as it should be the first step to be followed by any agent at the office receiving the package from a customer for delivery. Moreover, the agent at the office didn't seem to have any clue about this as well or he would have asked for the specifics beforehand. Someone in your company decided to play smart seeing that only food item was mentioned at the time of entry so why not just open the package and take out the Watch and keep it for himself (weirdo). AND why on earth would you not inform customers prior that every package dropped for delivery will be opened for checking. If I knew this I would've proactively given the specifics or probably even have the cost of the watch written down as well in the receipt. D74517685 Was this information helpful? |
