Dtdc Courier — Poor service and bad work ethics

hi, I had ordered a book online through Amazon with tracking number Z59468591 and they had chosen to send the book through DTDC. A few days after I placed the order I get a call from Mapusa DTDC office saying I have to pick the book because my home is in an out of coverage area. I was angry as to why I had to spend extra money to pick up a book which I had already paid for including delivery charges. I had requested DTDC supervisor in Panjim(his phone number is [protected]) over a phone conversation to bring the delievery parcel till a nearby point from where I could collect it. He agreed to it but no delivery happened the next day. So the following day I call Mapusa office which doesnt pick my call. The supervisor in Panjim was not reachable. So I go to Panjim because I dont want me book to be returned to vendor. I go to one office and they direct me to the main office somewhere else. At the main office, after getting my parcel, I interacted with Mr. Manjunath Kawalgi and told him that if my area was out of coverage they should not take the parcel from the vendor agreeing to deliver it. He had his justification that sometimes vendors know that it is outside coverage and still go ahead. I asked him if any alternate arrangement could be arranged for effective delivery instead of making the customer run around unnecessarily. He very callously replied that this is how the system was and nothing could be done about it. He was not one bit apologetic but instead he was saying no courier service is perfect. I said I wanted to register an official complaint for which he said he didnt have the form with him. I have stopped using DTDC in Goa because of their inefficiency and careless attitude. Every other state I have been in, that is, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and AndhraPradesh DTDC is more professional. They are very poor in Goa. I have stopped using DTDC for such reasons and I keep telling everyone I know to stop using DTDC too. I have also mailed the vendor to stop using DTDC for the lack of professionalism you display. DTDC worst courier service and in future I never send or recommend this courier. In DTDC most working staff are unprofessional. I will tell here my case I have to receive an international from Bangalore and the sender gave the tracking ID, if we track the system says AWB/REF NO... could not found. Please contact Customer care (local code[protected].So I contacted sender that time they sent sender’s receipt copy. Then I contacted agent and he have no idea regarding the status and he provided DTDC main office number .If we called that number everyone says we are not dealing the case and the concerned person’s number so and so ..Then I called that number again same answer like that I called almost 10 numbers finally I gave my contact number and told to update the status and they agreed to call back but unfortunately not received any calls from DTDC….now I decided in future I never send or recommend this courier.
