[Resolved]  Easy Day — staff behaviour

With great grief today, I'm having to notify you that I'm never going to recommend Easy Day (in fact any future group venture) to any of my friends and family after the misconduct I've been subjected to at your Mathura (Ashok Tower) store last night. Most of your staffs are extremely ill-mannered and uncivil. I've experienced inappropriate staff behaviour at this store in the past as well, but the store manager Manoj is quite sensible so he has managed to retain me as a loyal customer by apologizing for the staff's unprofessionalism in the past. This evening, unfortunately Manoj wasn't in the store therefore I had to attempt dealing with a guy named something like Mohan Upadhyay who is a supposed supervisor at this store. This man apparently is a completely undisciplined and very disrespectful employee of yours. When I told him that his and the cashier's behaviour was very much unwelcoming and offensive and that I would report it further, he very carelessly said, "haan kar do jo karna hai.. complaint karni hai mere naam ki karo mera naam note kar lo."

When I was ready for billing of my shopping, I waited in the que at the BillDesk. The counter person scanned each and every item in my cart and then simply shifted my card to the next counter. After being asked repeatedly, he said that the payment by card could only be completed at the other counter, which was already busy billing another customer so I needed to wait another few minutes. I raised a concern here that he could have asked me at the beginning itself as to whether I was going to pay by card or cash and then could have advised me to queue in for the other counter originally. Upon this, he said he wouldn't bother about payment mode beforehand and that I must wait for the other cashier to be available to complete my billing now. When I reported this to the supposed supervisor, Mohan Upadhyay, he said, "sir wait to karna padega ab apko hum pahle nahi puchhte hain ki kaise payment karenge.. aap card se pay kar hain ab apko dobara dusre counter par wait karna hoga..". I said that I had already waited in the queue for current counter and got my items scanned already and asked him why then I should be made to wait again..I expressed that they should proactively manage the queues according to payment modes only. he wasn't ready to acknowledge this as a mistake and said sir aise ho hota hai.. then I said I would write an email and he simply said "sir jo karna hai aap karo, mera naam note kar lo...". I don't know how many other customers this man has offended but I find it so offensive that I would never want to visit an Easy Day store again.
