I am nitin dhawan, r/o c-3/28, janakpuri, new delhi-110058.
This is in reference to an air conditioner (Es18m5c-altr) bought from ep electronic paradise pvt. Ltd, shop no. 5, dda commercial complex, janakpuri, new delhi-58 ([protected]@yahoo.com) (H. O - 13, vaishali, pitampura, new delhi-110034) vide bill dated 16.06.2016 and invoice numbered jp/r-1638/2016-17 in my name for an amount of rs. 29, 500/-. Bill being attached for reference.
The air conditioner was installed by your executive installed the same on the very next day. The document of free installation was signed by me in return. To our surprise, water started leaking out of the air conditioner after a few days and we contacted your customer care and your executive visited our place to fix the problem. The water leaking problem was fixed for the time being.
The year next i. E 2017, the air conditioner again started leaking and we this time complained electrolux as well as ep electronic pvt. Limited. An executive again visited my residence and adjusted the air conditioner. Since we are not technically sound in this, we again thought that the problem is fixed and the water would not leak, not knowing what exactly the technician/executive has fixed. The problem was faced twice last year and temporary adjustments were done by your executives. (Records from your end may be seen)
This year i. E 2018 again the same problem is faced by us in the air conditioner. Sufficient amount of water is leaking in the room from the air conditioner. When we complained yesterday i. E 26.05.2018, we received a call from your executive from company namely mr. Rajesh ([protected]) and your executive (Sonu) visited our premises and after checking the same informed us that there are serious installation issues since the beginning. The a. C would have to be removed, the entire unit of exhaust of the a. C would have to be removed and reinstalled. And further, the installation charges would have to be borne by us. Sonu left stating that since he is not prepared with equipment to do the same, shall visit again. Shocked at the way the complaints are being handled, feeling cheated as the installation was prima-facie a onus of the company and since two years we have been facing problems because of company’s services being faulty and now the charges for the same have to be borne by us, we again called electrolux who gave me the number of area manager - as stated from number [protected]. When i called on this number, the person messaged that he is ‘ on his way” (Screenshot being attached).
There is nothing that has progressed since then. To point out my concerned showing deficiency in services and calling us to take legal recourse now would be :
1. The installation in the first place was not done properly.
2. The leaking of water from the unit/air conditioner has been pointed out ever since the unit was installed but no proper service has been provided.
3. Since 2016 itself the same problem is being pointed out but in vain. Temporary solutions are being provided.
4. For installation problem being pointed out from the time of purchase, now after being harassed on every season, we are being asked to pay for the same shows that the installation was done faulty in the first place for the very reason to usurp money on account of this now.
It is rather a very bad experience with electrolux which calls for serious actions legally. It is not just about the installation, it is in your terms that incase we get the instrument installed by someone else, there is no damage coverage by you. However, installation by you which leads us to two years of harassment and means of extracting money on account of faulty first installation by you is not even a question to be answered from your end.
Request you to fix the issue within 48 hours, hours, failing which i shall be left with no other option but to proceed legally.
