I purchased the subject glass top stove from elica through the e commerce hub, amazon in september 2019 (6 months back). The item was working fine and was a fancy item in my sister's house as it was bought for her.
The look, its auto ignition working, all was a cheerful thing for her in the new house, until yesterday 16th apr'2020, when the glass surface blasted out.
The daily cooking task was completed by afternoon and my sister was in the hall when she heard a blasting noise coming out from the kitchen.
Startled with that noise, she rushed to the kitchen to see and it was the gas stove which was the culprit.
Fortunately, no one was in the kitchen when it burst and the gas too was not switched on, which could have made things worse.
At this period of lock down, getting essentials and cooking itself is an himalayan task and now to top it, the gas stove is unusable.
No customer service is available now to answer the calls.
Through this forum, i hope someone looks in to this and have an answer for us.
The item needs to be replaced at the earliest, as am not ready to let it go. The item was an expensive one and it was with so much hope that we went in to buy elica product keeping the other brands at bay.
It is high time the company revisit the manufacturing section to check if everything is working fine as am sure am not the lone complainant giving one of the this nature.
If not the repercussions are going to be very ugly, and i assure that i will go on preaching to the public to never ever buy any elica products, especially their stoves.
