Employee's Providents Fund Organisation [EPFO] — calls are not received and the receiver is kept aside

I called the epfo office at bandra on the following number:
[protected]. My call was initially not received. I called back again a few times and then the call was answered but the receiver was kept aside or the phone was kept on mute. And this is happening again and again.

This is really very very irritating as i don't have time to keep calling and what is the use of giving phone numbers for these government offices when they just don't pick up calls!!

The number given for office located at thane is out of service!
