Expedia — Amount deducted from my account but no booking

I tried to book a hotel on Expedia.co.in and paid through net banking. I received no confirmation but the amount of about 23, 000 INR was debited from my account.
I immediately called the customer care, they informed me that the refund will be done in 3-4 hours. I didn't receive the amount.
I called again after 2 days, they told me the amount will be back into my account after 3-4 days of the transaction and also shared the charge receipts with me.
I haven't gotten my amount since a month now. I called recently to check again, they informed there is no such transaction and also refused to go through the recorded conversations with my contact number.
I checked with my bank 2-3 times, even they confirmed the beneficiary has my money.
