Flipkart — Cancellation of Moto G Orders under unclear pretexts | |
Ever since it was declared that Moto G is going to be launched at flipkart & I was eagerly waiting for this device. So sharp at midnight on the day of the Launch i.e. 6th Feb 2014: 1. I tried to place the order when the very first stock came out(6th Feb).Their stupid combo offer wasn't working, so I had to contact the customer care who wasted those precious 15 minutes and kept me busy in adding and removing items from my cart in every permutation and combination possible and finally said "Sorry the device is out of stock". 2. He advised me to go for the 8 gb one as it might get out of stock and said you could probably order the 16 gb when the stock will be up in the morning. 3. I constantly followed the post on the website, the stock was supposed to be available at 12 Noon, which was again misleading information posted on the company website as the phone got available almost with a delay of 30-45 minutes. Never the less, I placed 2 orders for the 16 gb handsets (1 with Cover + I without cover).When I got the confirmations these 2 particular orders I cancelled the 8 Gb one as I wasn't looking forward to buy the same. That too was done by the Flipkart Customer care executive post giving me the assurance that my other 2 orders have been successfully placed & are confirmed. 4.On 8th morning I receive an e-mail Stating my orders are cancelled due to out of stock . My other friends who had placed orders on the very next day i.e. 7 got no mail as such and their orders are under process. NOW ALL MY CONCERNS AND QUESTIONS ARE : -->I placed 2 orders on the first day, I was eligible for their offer on "lucky 100 customers getting 100% cashback".Why i got thrown out just like that.And not to mention they gave me 500 (Feel free to keep such stupid coupons as a tip, you might need it for other unsuccessful launches) bucks that could be used to purchase some items of WS retailer which somewhat seems like a sort of condescending move to me. -->It seems like they are cancelling orders for those customers who placed multiple orders.I may be wrong but this process has irritated me to the core.They should have at least called before taking such action against orders. -->And they are sending me the cover next week.I really ain't that stupid to pay for a phone's cover case when i have no confirmation as of when i am gonna get the phone. After placing 3 successful & confirmed orders. All I got was cancellation mails, is it that easy to make customers suffer, by offering that cant be delivered & to top it all, spoke with their customer care execs constantly & in spite of that got no help. Now I have to go for the so called "RESERVE NOW" option. ITS A BIG SHAME FOR FLIPKART BY CONFIRMING SOMETHING THEY FAILED TO DELIVER. IF THEY COULD NOT CATER SUCH NUMBER OF REQUESTS THEN WHATS THE POINT BEHIND FAKE POMP & SHOW & MISLEADING LAUNCH OFFERS THAT THEY CAN"T FULFILL. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED & FEEL CHEATED, SHAME ON FLIPKART FOR SUCH A SHAUDY LAUNCH...!! This is not how you BUILD a brand, this is how you SUCK at your launches. You guys (FLIPKART) had 1 great Opportunity & see what you did... REFER Reviews on your website too...!! PS:You should have clearly stated that you had "X" number of handsets are in stock or only one order applicable for one person /E-mail ID, to avoid inconvenience to the customers.
