[Resolved] Flipkart / Ekart — Liars from eKart | |||
I am from Bangalore and I had ordered footwear from Flipkart when I could have just walked down the street and got them from any other store, because I assumed the delivery would be quick. After a couple of days, I got a call from the eKart delivery boy and he called me to confirm my residence address and time of availability. He didn't show up that day. I got a message from Flipkart saying that the delivery had been rescheduled as per my instructions! Anyway, I waited for another day and nobody contacted me. On the next day, I got a call from the same eKart delivery person who had called me a couple of days earlier but I couldn't take it immediately so I called back when I could and he said he could not deliver it as eKart does not deliver after 7 PM. Fair enough. I got a message the next day from Flipkart saying that the order would be delivered before 7 PM. I waited until 5:30 and called the delivery guy again: he said he would deliver it the next day because the package was in their office. I got pissed off but said nothing. So today I call him again and he asks me to call Flipkart customer care because the shipment is going back (presumably because he reported I was unresponsive). He was defensive at the start, saying I was unresponsive, but it was obvious he was lying (as opposed to a genuine confusion) but he turned arrogant towards the end when I kept insisting I was never contacted as often as he claimed to, and when I said I'd raise a complaint with Flipkart, he sarcastically said "Sure sir". I don't mind so much waiting for a delivery but it's the unethical approach from the eKart that makes me want to sue them. The eKart person claimed to have called me so many times but when I checked my logs from the time I placed the order on Flipkart, he called me a grand total of 2 times! I called him back around 6 times. (Also FYI, I am also subscribed to the Airtel service which enables me to receive a notification message of the calls I missed due to no-signal or phone being switched off). I honestly can't believe Flipkart and eKart are managed by the same group seeing how poorly eKart is managed (practically a joke) while Flipkart's management and customer care seem a LOT more refined and responsible. This is the second such incident from eKart. It all seems like Deja vu. I would really like to sue eKart even if it's going to cost me a lot of money over the long run because this is about ethics and principles.
