[Resolved]  Godrej Locking Solutions & Systems — Replacement of defective main door lock within the guarantee period

I purchased a 2c tribolt main door lock from thahir hardware,
Devaraja mudali street, chennai on 25.3.08 which was fixed by one of your technicians. From day one the lock started giving out problems though minor one like slippage while trying to open the lock. Since this was a minor one we represented to the retailer who said it is a teething problem and will set in. We put up with the nuisance all along. But on 10.7.2017 we got locked out to our shock and could not come out of our house. We contacted your technician mr. Viswanathan who rescued us.

Since the product is under guarantee we took the lock, all the four keys and the purchase bill to the retailer who in turn sent it to your wholesale dealers at venkatachala street for replacement. The main dealer who has to replace the product under guarantee was unhelpful. First he said he needs the keys and when it was given to him he said he does not have the particular stock. He could have easily got the product from the main market where he is located or could have tried to get it from the godrej godown. He even refused to give us a tentative date by which he could replace the product. Is this the status of managing product guarantee replacement by reputed company non other than godrej. We are at a loss to understand. Should the company tantamount to saying "approach the consumer court" and get relief??

Please advise urgently as the main door remains without any security locks now.
Your urgent action in getting a replacement will be highly appreciated.
