I purchased a Havells Water Heater (ADONIA model), on 14th November 2018 from Reliance Digital store, Lucknow (U.P.).
Till August it worked fine, but on 20th August 2019, its water inlet pipe suddenly got broken. I raised a complaint to Havells Customer care (Complaint Reference Number:[protected] on 22nd August 2019. The technician visited my house and after checking the water heater told me that I have to purchase the pipe from the market. I requested him that as I got the pipe along with the water Heater itself from the Havells company and the installation of the Water Heater is also done by technician from Havells, so in this case the accountability of the fault is with the company and as the product is in the warranty period so the product must be repaired without any cost. The technician gave me the number of his supervisor Mr. Akash (Mobile: [protected]) to talk with him. The supervisor spoke too rudely and bluntly and asked me to bear the cost of the defected pipe.
If such is the behaviour and response of the employees, whose duty is to support the customer, then what can be expected from the company. It seems like company is cheating the consumer with faulty products are its staff are abusing the customers. Please fire such employees and help me by replacing the damaged part.
