[Resolved]  HDFC Bank — Credit Card Payment Reversal

Dear Sir/ Ma’am This is regarding reversal of “Finance Charges” levied to me on the last two statements generated against the purchases that I’ve made. For the months of Dec ’14 and Jan ’15, i made purchases ~2.2 Lacs. Due to the above reason, payment from my side was a bit delayed and “Finance charges” in the name of late payment fees was levied on me (~5, 500) I was contacted by the customer care support team this month in Feb ’15, from HDFC bank regarding payment to be done for the Feb ’15 month bill and that the late payment fees levied will be reversed as soon as the payment is done from my side. On 15th Feb ’15, when i contacted the customer care again to know the status, I was informed that initiation of reversal for my last bill has been made and reversal of payment for the other bill will be done post 24 hrs. Today, 18th Feb ’15, i was informed by the Credit card customer care team that the promised reversal of payment will not be done in my case. The customer care representative (Mr. Hari) behaved rudely with me and his behaviour was not good. I have had a long association with HDFC bank and have held it in high prestige. However, the kind of experience I’ve had recently completely reverses my opinion about its professional service and support towards its customers. I was already informed that the late payment excess charges will be reversed as soon as possible and that for one of the bills, the charges have already been initiated. I have been utterly disappointed with the kind of communication and services offered by HDFC Credit card division. I was already promised reversal of charges and have received rude behaviour, improper communication and feel cheated. I have already initiated cancellation of my credit card and also plan to escalate this matter.

Hi Sir/madam

I made a transaction on Feb 15 for 24500/-. Today is March 19. Unfortunately I forgot to keep track of the payment due because I am not a usual user of HDFC credit card. Sudeenly I see HDFC has levid late fee of about 800 INR and also Finance charges of about 806 INR plus applicable IGST/GST etc..Almost around 188-1900 INR.. I called customer care they say only one of chrgaes can be reversed and not both.. I explained a lot, I am a preferred hdfc customer and have a good relationship with bank and this is just merely because I forgot, but they are denying. I would be greatful if I can get my whole of money (late fee and finance charges reversed). Thanks
