Dear HDFC team,
I have been using the HDFC credit card for close to 2 years now which I was forced to take while applying for a personal loan.
I was told there is not going to be any additional charges such as renewal or anything and its free as I'm a esteemed customer. (I didn't knew that :))
Anyway, the complaint is that I've been charged Rs.572.5 towards credit card renewal & Rs.319.26 as some Finance Charges for which your representative is not taking my request to waive off these charges.
I called the customer service to waive off the renewal fee & felt ill treated by the way my request was approached.
The representative was telling that I have already availed waive off of late payment only during Dec'15 & my request cannot be taken.
The fact though in Dec'15, I had received a waive off on the late fee which apparently was due to the famous floods of Chennai. (In my view, the late charges itself shouldn't have happened considering the calamity).
There is no reason why the representative had to point it out repeatedly and said he cannot consider my request to waive off the charges in-spite of me telling him that you are losing me. Seems retaining loyal customers is not part of your objective.
Would appreciate if my request is considered & the aforementioned charges are waived off & looking forward for better experience while speaking to your agents.
Call me only if you need more info. Guessing I've already detailed things enough.
