HDFC Bank — Delay in reactivating Net banking, UPI and reissuing debit card

This is with reference to my debit card ending with 6204.

Due to security reasons, my previous card was blocked permanently, and my net banking and UPI was blocked temporarily. I applied for a new card on 20 October 2021 and also completed the paperwork to reactivate my net banking. The procedure was done at Gumasta Nagar, Indore branch as it was the nearest to my permanent residence. On the same day, I also applied for a branch change as my old branch was Kurla, Mumbai and I no longer live in that area. After all the formalities, I was informed that my debit card will be delivered to the Gumasta Nagar branch within 7 days and I will have to collect it physically.

After 4-5 days, I got a call from the courier service that their personal was standing to deliver my card at my old address (606, Premier ExoticaII, Premier Residencies, Kurla, Mumbai). I requested them to report back to the Kurla branch as it needs to be delivered in Indore.

I visited the Gumasta Nagar branch again on 27 October, informed Geeta Singh about the whole situation with my card. My Net banking was still blocked at that time even though it had been more than a week. I again filled a form to reactivate it. Meanwhile, Geeta wrote an email to the authority requesting the status of my debit card. I was assured that the issue will be solved in 7 days.

On 6 November, I visited the Gumasta Nagar branch again to collect my chequebook and my debit card. Amreen from the branch was dealing with me at the time. She gave me my chequebook however, had no status on my debit card. They did not even issue me a new card on the spot. My net banking was also still blocked after more than 15 days of back and forth of paperwork and continuous requests. Amreen assured me that she will be able to give me the status of my debit card and net banking in 2-3 hours and convinced me to go back home. She did not call me the whole day and has not picked up my calls since. Geeta Singh has also not been responding to my calls.

I am really struggling to manage my finances for the last 15-20 days with no debit card, and zero access to net banking and UPI. I don't think that the bank and their representatives understand the challenges I am forced to face and no one seems to be of any help!

Not sure why it is taking such a long time to reactive net banking and deliver a debit card.

I am sincerely requesting the authorities to look into the matter and help me as soon as possible.
