[Resolved] HDFC Bank — Fraudulent Deduction by HDFC Bank itself | |||
Hello, I am Mahasweta Chakraborti. I have my salary account with HDFC Bank, Branch- UN Bramhachari Road. I have an auto-payment registration of Bajaj Finance related to this bank. This month prior to the date of deduction, my account had insufficient balance for which the transfer bounced. I was charged a debit return charge of Rs. 590. After making all payments, I called to clarify from the bank about the charges. And they said it is due to the bouncing of my auto-payment. However throughout the same month, I was charged thrice for the same reason. Rs. 590+ Rs 590 + Rs. 150.13. At last, HDFC again deducted the last sum of money that I kept in the account and made it zero balance so that they can fraudulently charge me again. The customer support is of no help, nobody responds to email or picks up the call. I was wrongly charged again and again for the same reason without prior notification. For treating the customers like this, people are no longer trusting private banks. I am not the forst customer to face similar problems from HDFC Bank. Please help me resolve this issue. HDFC must pay for being so fraudulent. I must be returned my money that I was wrongly and repeatedly charged for. It is the bank's duty to communicate to the customers before any deductions at all. They can't cheat us like this. This issue must be resolved. Please help me so that HDFC bank pays me back and stops this fraudulent activity time and again. This is a trying time for the entire nation. And then there are these banks who do not leave an opportunity to cheat their customers. Was this information helpful? | |||
