I had applied for an address change for my savings account, but failed to collect the address intimation letter, as I was not present at the address. Due to this the bank has locked my account. Also, customer care considered it as a fraud/suspicious and blocked my account. Now my HDFC a/c is locked. Debit card is blocked, net banking is blocked and I'm unable to perform any transactions.

Please note that if you are able to withdraw/add money to your A/c. successfully, then the restriction is on the Beneficiary A/c. to receive money. Else, the restriction is on your A/c., and therefore, kindly contact your nearest branch to regularise your A/c." . CAN SOMEONE IS HDFCBANK TEACH their customer teams what exactly is meant by " regularise your A/C" since no one is able to explain

Now who is responsible? Is it the customer care representive/ bank/ myself who had called them for a query. Life made hell as no one is able to help - branch rep says need to check with backend And phone banking ask to visit branch. Money stuck as not able to pay vendors and service providers. Worst is no one is ready to own acts of branch . overall Pathetic state . No escalation matrix published, Not sure what to do as found respective teams highly disintegrated . Bank reps openly ask to visit branch to get this resolved as I am just available for them .

The address got updated but account is still restricted and I am not able to do any transactions.

WHILE I am writing this complaint I still believe HDFC is an esteem entity of out country and hopeful someone from bank will look into my concerns and will be able to resolve asap.

I request Branch/ Phonebanking/ Nodal or anyone in HDFC to pls resolve this as it is been almost two weeks and still my account is restricted for transaction.

Bro same issue iam having, is their any solution,

my disability pension will default and that is going to be another headache for me.

i changed address but did not pick phone of verifier, he could have visited my home, but i think for him phone is more important
i dont understand why HDFC tormenting people for just missing the phone of verifier.?The complete system is broken.
