[Resolved] HDFC Bank — hdfc saving account negative balance penalty | |
Hello, I had saving account with hdfc which somehow i was not able to operate since i do not have salary account with hdfc and my regular needs are done through my current bank account. one of the employee working with hdfc insisted to open the saving account at the time i took hdfc life policy.As they have targets . later on we went to HDFC asking for closer of both accounts and ended up opening a joint account which we wanted to use for our savings, but in that account also they linked my husbands salaried account to the same user ID and we wanted it to be separate. Since it was not helping us to operate, we stopped using it.Now that she left HDFC and i was left with these 3 savings account, which i am not at all using. I wasn't aware that there is so much of negative balance charged on these accounts almost 30 k is what online it's showing. I have not even used the cheque book nor used the debit card facilities of this bank.I even tried contacting the same person who opened my account, but since she left i cannot contact her. and customer care always says to talk to branch.I am not getting any type of response even after several mail request. I hope my complain would be resolved and these charges be waived off. As I do not want to use HDFC account and want to close them all. The accounts are: [protected] [protected] [protected] I am very disappointed with the charges. we haven't used services, no follow ups were done from banks side at least stating the customer or asking why the account is not used, the bank straight forwardly charge so much . I have been a very old customer with other bank and expected the same with HDFC, but we not nothing but trouble and penalty from HDFC.
