I have done the remittance from Germany to my HDFC bank in Begumpet branch account- 50000 euros on 15th July 2022. The bank-given transaction rate was too low 78.79 INR for 1 Euro (the live rate was 80.20 INR) And already I have paid 152 euros, the charges from my Germany bank account.
I have received an email from HDFC bank for the disposal instructions. But before giving the acceptance/ decline they processed it immediately with a very low rate, The total loss was 70, 500 rupees for me.
And in the inward remittance certificate, the service charges were only 8400 rupees on that CGST and SGST calculated. I do not understand why HDFC bank charged 70000 rupees for this transaction?
this is how the conversation happened with HDFC bank employees...
1. Bank employees did not even call for confirmation for disposal instructions.
2. Relationship manager's phone number and email id were not working(failing).
3. i called the branch manager and asked to stop the process, because of the very low transaction rate is giving. Till then I have not yet received to my account. But he did not stop.
4. I called Forex head Rajesh ([protected])- and he accepted to pay 79.75 INR for 1 euro. But still did not happen and now he is not answering my phone.
5. Branch manager Raghunath ([protected]) also confirmed to do the needful and now he is denying now.
6. Another Forex person (Bala[protected] in the same branch also accepted to pay as per 79.75 INR. But he is also not answering now.
7. The bank employee who did this mess is working in the same branch employee ([protected]).
Can you please help me to cancel the transaction and want to get back my 50000 euros to my Germany account. As Forex head person Rajesh said 50$ will be the charge. I have accepted that also. But till now there is no further update. If a refund is not possible, at least as they promised 79.75 INR for one euro can be paid. But both things are not happening.
thanks,
Sreedhara
