[Resolved]  HDFC Bank — Lien / hold amount on saving account

Hi!
I was using credit card of hdfc from last 5 years but due to some medical emergency i was not able to make payment but was depositing minimum amount on the card account.
But in the month of may i lost my cell phone. So regarding amount to be paid or lien i have not received any call. I have fir copy of the phone lost/theft. That is the only reason no communication i have received but as soon as i saw the mail i have paid the amount due. I received mail for the same on 20 may which i saw on 2nd june i immediately paid the amount which is more than the minimum due amount.
On june 2nd there was lien on my savings account without any prior notice after the salary was credited in my account and i was stuck with no money for the entire month.

As there is medical emergency in my family today i am stuck with no money and not able to complete the medical treatment of my mother.

I tried contacting credit card team no. Of time as well as my relationship manager but no solution was provided by any of them.
Even i offered that i will pay approx. 40-50% of outstanding on card immediately but still lady executive shouts/screams like they are the owner of bank & personally i owe them funds.
I asked for way out from this to my relationship manager even she behaves like a general executive who won’t ready to cooperate which shows the stupidity of preferred banking program of bank.
Please release the amount you hold in my saving account asap.

Following to my last raised complaint on 10 th June2017 I received call on 13 th June from Customer care executive XXX.
As per executive’s statement I will be contacted by concerned Manager in between 24-48 hrs.
45 hrs already finished no body contacted till now from bank.
Instead of getting call/solution regarding subjected matter, received mail yesterday from bank on 14’th June at 5.20 pm that please pay outstanding on or before 14th….? Otherwise we will withdraw the Preferred banking program from your account.
Seriously is this way? Is that appropriate time?
You bank mails me on day end asking for the payment to pay on same day????????
You are holding my whole month’s salary….and asking me to clear outstanding…
From where should I clear the outstanding when you are carrying my WHOLE SALary without my information?????
Is that any MAGIC to bring the money for salaried person?
Because of this banks harassing action I could not able to pay my EMI, House rent, other medical n house expenses.
I showed my readiness to settle the account to the bank but what a pity! You people don’t even care for salaried clients….You sucks the salaried persons.
Please release my funds to settle your account.
It is clear that Proffered banking program is ####### when you cannot cooperate to the clients.
Please make clear if you don’t want to listen/cooperate ….don’t show off that you care for customers. And again requesting you to stop harassing and release the funds.
This all situation is Intolerable now.

From last two months interest is wrongly charged from last two months & by our relationship manager there is no answer we are regularly trying to get answer he is failed all time no response by him
if bank is not interested with us then our group have near about 25 accounts in bank which all will move 2 other banks

the same problem i am facing with my hdfc salary account xxxx 6538 to be lien marked due to credit card dues and hold my money. Priority redressal team says bank have rights to hold bank account even FD against any dues. It means consumer no need to save money in bank because its not save its on risk and hdfc bank anytime hold for own use and wrong charges.

Hi . I am facing a similar issue. I am a single mother and have a ailing mother.in the month of april my company transferred me to kolkata.there i had to bear the relocation expenses, also mom had medical condition.in both months i could pay less then the min due.i had paid a lump sum 1 lakh in the month of feb, i thought as i get my relocation money i will pay rest or more then half of outstanding 1.5 lakhs.in the month of july my entire salary and relocation is now held with the bank.my home loan emi, loans has bounced, i tried contacting the deptt.one lady Rimpa Das, narkelbagan, ecospace third floor, kolkata yelled at me as if i am some thief.i tried contacting her manager Abhijit also did not help.how am i suppose to run the month. My cust id with hdfc 23975171, please be aware of hdfc bank.please note no msg, no email received on lien
