HDFC Bank — Locker Charges Deduction without any communication

I am HDFC Bank account holder. Most of the time HDFC bank keep deducting small charges without informing but this time they deducted Rs 5000 and additional charges of Rs. 618 for annual locker fee, which is almost 4 times higher than last year. This is really annoying. If HDFC bank can flood our mail box with loan, credit card related promotional mails, then why cant they inform us about revised charges via mail? Who gave them this right to deduct money from our account as and when they want? Even looking at HDFC website, we still see old charges detail. Is there anyone who can help here? Else only option we have to close every single account with HDFC.
